Centralia and the surrounding areas offer many opportunities for the writing community. Below is a list of some of the events you can get involved in.

Creative Endeavors
The Creative Endeavors writing group meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month. For more information you can contact the Centralia Cultural Arts Center.

Kaskaskia College Writers Guild
The Kaskaskia College Writers Guild is open to all KC students and faculty. Their schedule varies from semester to semester. For more info contact Professor Josh Woods at jwoods@kaskaskia.edu or go to their webpage.

Literary Open Mic (Centralia)
The founders of CentraLit host a Literary Open Mic at the Centralia Regional Library about every 2 months. The event is free to attend to watch or perform, and walk-in performers are welcome as long as we don’t run out of time. Events are currently postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
