We ask that you join us in welcoming our new poetry editor, Ashley Mueth, to the CentraLit team. We are huge fans of Ashley’s work and grateful to have her joining us. You may recognize Ashley’s name from the work she has allowed us to publish on CentraLit.
Ashley is a future librarian, full-time student, and poetry enthusiast. She enjoyed reading and writing as a child and began pursuing creative writing in third grade. She began writing comics and children’s books to share in class. She currently attends Southern Illinois University Carbondale and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She was the 2021 recipient of the Jon Tribble Poetry Award in Grassroots Magazine. Her poems can be found in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 Grassroots Magazine editions, her self-published poetry chapbook Sunflowers Bloom, and CentraLit Magazine.
